Travel & Accommodation

IAHLA will reimburse eligible travel and accommodation expenses up to $1,250 for the Authorized Representative or their proxy for each member institute.

Underground public parking is available. Self-parking is $34.70 CAD + tax per night with in-out privileges when you register your vehicle at the time of check-in.

Call for Workshops

The Call for Workshop Proposals is now open. This year’s conference theme is Honouring Our Land Through Higher Learning. IAHLA welcomes workshop applications that demonstrate the work being done by First Nations adult and post-secondary institutes to implement land-based learning in higher education.


The workshops’ duration will be 1 hour and will be presented once.

Annual General Meeting

Administrators and educators from IAHLA member institutes are welcome to attend the AGM and Conference. Each IAHLA member institute in good standing has one authorized representative who can vote at the AGM. If the authorized representative cannot attend, they can appoint a proxy by October 15, 2026.

Meals

Buffet breakfasts and lunches with a variety of food options will be offered. Please indicate any dietary needs or severe allergies on your registration form.

Sharing Table

IAHLA member institutes are invited to bring flyers/brochures about their institutes or resources of interest to IAHLA members for our Sharing Table. Please drop off your items at the Information and Directions station in the foyer when you arrive at the conference.

Photography

This is a public event where photography and video recording may take place. The images and recordings may be used by IAHLA and the First Nations Education Steering Committee for promotional purposes. In case of questions, please contact pseadmin@fnesc.ca.

Health Protocols

Only registered participants are eligible to attend. As per our health and safety processes, we ask that you stay home if you are feeling unwell.

Recording

Audio recording, video recording, AI transcription, and use of other AI tools to record at the event is not permitted.
