Post-Secondary Education Coordinator Workshops

The First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC) is pleased to announce its 2024 Post-Secondary Education (PSE) Coordinator Workshops. These workshops are intended to support professional development for PSE Coordinators and engagement with First Nations on key post-secondary initiatives. These full-day, in-person workshops are offered regionally to ensure that the unique perspectives and challenges of each region continue to be reflected in discussions.

  • Overview of FNESC and its PSE advocacy and support services
  • First Nations Leadership Resolutions on increased support for First Nations PSE students and community-based programming
  • BC First Nations Tripartite Post-Secondary Education Model
  • Administration of the Post-Secondary Student Support Program and University and College Entrance Preparation Program and changes to the National Guidelines
  • Strategies for developing effective local operating guidelines
  • Other supports for First Nations PSE Students
  • Updates on key PSE programs and initiatives
