IAHLA AGM and Virtual Gathering

IAHLA invites you to register for the IAHLA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Virtual Gathering.

See our event program for schedule details.

AGM, November 24, 9:30 am – 12:00 pm

Virtual Gathering, November 25, 1:00 – 4:00 pm

The IAHLA AGM will be held on November 24, 2021. As previously communicated, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IAHLA Board has determined that the meeting would take place virtually, which is allowed for under IAHLA’s bylaws.

Please note the following important details for the AGM:

  • All administrators and educators from IAHLA institutes are welcome to attend.
  • Please register at 2020-2021 IAHLA Annual General Meeting. Upon registering you will receive a Zoom link to the meeting.
  • See IAHLA’s bylaws and election procedures.
  • A draft agenda is provided in the event program (above).
  • Each IAHLA member institute in good standing has one authorized representative, and that person can vote at the AGM. If the authorized representative cannot attend, they can appoint a proxy using the attached proxy form (by November 10, 2021).

If you have any questions about your IAHLA membership, please feel free to contact Jasper Gogol-Sicklen. Administrative Assistant, Communications and Policy, at 604-925-6087 or at jasperg@fnesc.ca.

The Virtual Gathering will provide an opportunity for IAHLA institutes to reflect upon their experiences during the pandemic, learn about work related to the Indigenous Language Fluency/Proficiency Degree, and engage with the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training on the development of the new Indigenous Post-Secondary Education and Training Policy Framework.
